Instructor: A great teacher should have patience to make complicated subjects easier as well as current real world experience to make subjects relevant to students’ goals. All Sintre training takes place at our Dallas office and is taught by Ryan Murray. Ryan holds many technical qualifications, including a current Red Hat Certified Architect certification, multiple years of Linux/Unix consulting and is even a former Red Hat consultant and trainer.
Class Size: With very small minimum class sizes, a course can start with only a few students. This allows flexible scheduling so you can take the class you want, when you want. This also improves your ability to learn and retain course content as our instructor can dedicate more one on one time with each student.
Course Content: Having worked as senior level roles at Fortune 500 companies and maintaining current real work consulting experience, Ryan has created academic yet relevant courseware. Each class offered highlights real world applications of lessons learned with the goal of training enterprise class employees. Courseware included with the class provides a high level of items discussed with a format allowing students to customize their lessons learned. Each unit has exercise labs with a solutions guide.
Hands on Labs: Reading and listening to new concepts only provides a low rate of subject matter retention. That’s why all Sintre training is driven by hands on labs. Each unit builds up to a collection of tasks and technical scenarios that is designed to reinforce that unit’s subject matter. In addition to having the instructor there to help guide students through the exercises, each lab has a solution guide as a reference. Practicing new skills during the learning process is so important we couldn’t wait until the end of the unit to start. Within each unit, there are several “try this now” stopping points.
What to Expect: At the first day of class, each student will receive their own physical copy of the courseware. During the class, each student is assigned their own workstation installed with a standardized image. Having students’ workstations match the environment used to create the lab exercises is important for success of training. This allows students to follow along with the courseware instruction and focus only on the subjects taught instead of troubleshooting workstation environment issues. Lunch and snacks for each day of training are also included.
